Craft Clutter Challenge - After (with better pictures!)

ETA: Now with much better pics! :D
(Just don't judge my decorating/creative style by the un-great combo of furniture and wall color. I blame divorce. It is an ugly business... LOL!)

This gives you an idea of the overall area. The big thing here is that you can see carpet! ;)

A clean work surface with next projects lined up: the frame is waiting for cork, the buttons insist on being on almost every card from here on out, stamps lined up on the right ready for swaps, flat canvases waiting to be used in a challenge with Karen, and on the upper right are 1/4 sheets ready for images, standing up proudly, eager to be used in, a cardholder I glazed. The green bowl on the left is for sorting and picking buttons - glazed that one myself, too. :D

The "Shelves of Inspiration": my Tim Holtz class pieces, my custom sketch journal (thanks, Sandra), my fave poet (Emily Dickinson), an ATC I made last year (or was it the year before...), a business card from Invoke Arts, a postcard from the beloved Katie, my "C" and of course, Poe (also from Katie) looking out the window.
Had to include Poe's view: a beautiful birch tree (with nest).

And of course, Stitch guarding the Copics and Nesties/CB folders box until I figure out better storage for them. He's such a good watch-alien-who-thinks-he's-a-dog! :D

So I know it doesn't look like a lot, but it took me most of the weekend and resulted in a huge pile of paper and boxes that are headed for recycling. The majority was sorting and putting away. When I used to stamp in the kitchen, without thinking I always cleaned everything up and put it away before going to bed. Since moving to the bedroom, it seems easier to just let it be and tell myself I'll get back to it *later*. The trouble is that *later* never came! PTL for this challenge! Despite finding a very large and most unwelcome 8-legged visitor just before bed last night, I slept great and I'm hoping that clearing the physical clutter will also make way for more creativity.

Oh, and better looks at "The Shelf"! PTL for Nichole Heady and her ribbon jar idea!

Don't forget to head over to Susan's blog to see her after pics! I'm headed there now...
TFL!

Woo-Hoo! Catherine, you did a fantabulous job organizing and purging! I love Poe, and the little tin pail with the Copics! Your shelf unit is great and the ribbon jars are beautiful. But OMG and goosebumps on finding an evil 8-legged creature! Kudos girlfriend and thanks for the challenge! {HUG}
