Fresh, Fuchsia Flowers for Mom

Hello again! As promised, here is the card I made for my sweetie pie of a mom for Mother's Day. I love a theme, and I love my mom in pink, so I had to carry the color from her corsage and cake to the card.

The image is "Daisies" by Digi Drawn, who offered up this image for free(!) for the Sketch Challenge at Crafter's Digital Art Center. I took some liberties with the sketch, but the basics are there, I hope.
I'll have to get back to you on the greens, but the petal colors are: RV59, RV19, RV32, RV34, and RV0000. The pattern papers (including the pink matting layer) is from Basic Grey's Lemonade Collection (6x6) and the dew drops are Inky Antics.

Thanks for stopping by. Have a blessed & beautiful day! ((hugs))

Mother's Day

I was very happy with how this card turned out. I guess it is nothing overly special. Maybe I just really like that it is quiet and pretty. Or maybe it's just that I'm amazed at what I can make at 3:00 a.m. the night before/morning of Mother's Day! LOL!

I used an image I received at least a year ago in a flower image swap, colored with Copics. I got to use my new SU! border punch on the Basic Grey pattern paper from the Lily Kate collection. I remembered the reason I hoard my scraps when I found the cardstock for the base and the Nestie-ed circles. Some Melissa Francis buttons (love them!) and some ribbon that was gifted to me were the finishing touches.

Super Mom

Here's the Mother's Day card I made for my mom, who is, in fact, super.

I used two different pattern papers I had been hoarding (what else is new), and made the black scallop with the SU! corner rounder punch (guard removed). The main image is Super Woman from Amuse, stamped in Palette Black and colored with Copics. I used the SU! Ticket Corner punch on both layers. The sentiment is stamped in SU! Real Red and Palette Black using David Walker Creative Rubber Stamps (25% off at my local Archivers - love that!) for "Super" and Penny Black Kate Text for "Mom," punched out with the SU! Key Tag punch I just got, and edged with more Palette Black to make it stand out. Both the main image and sentiment are on pop dots. 5 clear bling gems on the scallop and a black satin ribbon to top it off.

My mom got such a kick out of this card! It was great to see! We had a wonderful day - and she felt extra special because we celebrated on Saturday instead of Sunday. I did the cooking, because she said, "All I want is to not have to cook." But, she didn't want to go out either because, "I don't want to be herded around with all the other mothers." Gotta love her! As luck would have it, Saturday was the perfect day - beautiful and sunny, while Sunday was gloomy with rain and a chill. A super day for Super Mom!
Thanks for looking,
