Chapter 13: Mushroom Inspiration...

"Oh dear! I'd nearly forgotten that I've got to grow up again! Let me see--how IS it to be managed? I suppose I ought to eat or drink something or other; but the great question is, what?''
Alice looked all round her at the flowers and the blades of grass, but she did not see anything that looked like the right thing to eat or drink under the circumstances. There was a large mushroom growing near her, about the same height as herself; and when she had looked under it, and on both sides of it, and behind it, it occurred to her that she might as well look and see what was on the top of it..."

Just like this adorable March Hare, I'm late. Again. Partly because this erratic spring weather is knocking me for a loop, and partly because things are just so busy and I'm becoming more & more easily confused. I started out doing this card with next week's challenge theme! Eek!

But I finally got it all sorted out, and here is this week's inspiration piece:
For my card, I took my inspiration more from the circle/bubble shape by using diamond glaze for the glass of the pocket watch, and focusing on the gorgeous blue-green colors, rather than the actual images depicted.

The one thing I did have right all along is that we are so lucky & excited to be sponsored by the amazing Victoria Case, who provided the DT with images and is offering a SUPER generous prize of 5 Rubber Stamps to one lucky winner! Can you believe that?!? Thanks so much, Victoria! So get hopping and link your creations on the Oh, Alice! blog by Friday, May 20th at 8pm CST! Please use OAC13 as your keyword.

Curiously yours,

November KitCats (just a wee bit late)

If you're doing the FRESH BREWED DESIGNS Blog Hop, scroll down to the next post! Thanks!!!! And if you aren't following the hop, why not??? The images are awesome, the possibilities are endless, the inspiration is divine! Go ahead, take a peek! :D

Hey friends! Normally we post on the first Sunday of the following month, but November was my turn to play hostess and I was a little distracted my a professional exam. My fellow Kittens were awesomely supportive & understanding, and didn't even blink when I asked if we could delay a few days. Love you girls!

So for the kit, I sent everyone this super adorable image from Susana's Custom Art & Card Design. If you haven't shopped with Susana before, you really need to put that on your list because she is super sweet, ships quick and always throws in a little something extra. Another fabulous thing is that she carries exclusive lines from Victoria Case, Elisabeth Bell and Anki Bärgman. This image is from Victoria's Winter Wonderland release, and she's called Cocoa Puff. I knew the girls would love coloring her and that she'd look totally cute with some papers from Basic Grey's Eskimo Kiss collection. I honestly forgot which ribbons & fibers I gave the rest of the KitCats, and just grabbed some sheer pink polka dot ribbon and white pearly dew drops. I used Stickles on the snow and Diamond Glaze on the poinsettias, to hopefully make them pop. I also used Stickles on her hat for a little added interest.

Please be sure to stop by and leave some love for the rest of the KitCats:
Kelly, Susan, Lorie, Michelle and Jeanette.

TFL & Hugs,
