Give me a "C"!

I know I have at least one other card on the PC at home, but of course, I'm at work. But I don't know if it's the sunshine, near 60 temp, or what, but I wanted to share something with you today. So I took a quick trip through my pics folder, and found that I never posted this! It's not for me, but was something I made for Secret Sister back in December! *gasp* for dear Christine, whom I haven't heard from for awhile. I hope she knows I think of her often. She's going through a difficult time, and unfortunately lives on the other side of the country. Maybe posting this will put some good vibes out into the universe, and God willing, they will find their way to her and help brighten her day. {{{{Hugs for Christine}}}}
I used 3 different Basic Grey papers, picking these because at the time Christine was doing her craft room update in similar colors. I think I over distressed the seams, and I never realized how difficult piecing square paper over a circular shape was, but all in all, I was fairly happy with the result, and Christine liked it - what more does a girl want?
Hope you have good weather where you are and a few minutes at least to enjoy it today!
TFL & Hugs,

First Xmas

My very 1st Christmas card this year, made for Christine. I had the privilege of being her Secret Sister for the Travelhood SS Swap, which was wonderfully organized by the lovely Karen.
It's a simple card, using DP from Basic Grey's Wassail collection. I am in love with this SU! snowflake set as well lately - used it for some winter (not Xmas) cards already, and I'm sure we'll be seeing more of it in the weeks and months to come.

Something to look at

Digi cam is still on the fritz....okay, I haven't been stamping - you caught me.

I snagged this pic from Michelle, and cropped, just to give you something to look at until I can carve out some creating time. This is a much belated thank you card that I made for Michelle, who was my super awesome Secret Sister months back. TFL!

Card base is a pearlescent (now I know I didn't spell that right!) light blue that I snagged either at Archivers or from Marco's Paper at Adventures in Rubber Stamping a few years back. Pattern papers are from Basic Grey. Faux stitching done with Signo pen and paper piercing. Chipboard flower from Making Memories, and (if memory serves, which it often does not) also from Making Memories. SU! Linen Thread (which I attempted to make white with ink).

My Secret Sister Is...

Michelle! And what an AWESOME SS she has been! Not only did she create a SS email account and email me several times, she sent me this wonderful reveal package! Take a look at all the goodies!

Not only was she thoughtful enough to send all of that glorious green cardstock in every conceivable shade (and some that sparkle!), she remembered my lament about the SU! tafetta ribbon, and sent me oodles in Chocolate Chip! How'd she know Chocolate Chip was the one I wanted most? Thank you, Michelle!!! Oh, and here's a closer look at the gorgeous card!

Super Secret Sister Strikes Again!

Another fab card from my SS! I love all the detail she added - glitter highlighting, and the felt-like snowflake. Plus, it's a kind of card I've never made - the card with the snowflake pulls out of the holder - so fun! Thanks again, SS!

Another card from my Secret Sister

This is so cool! I've never seen anything like it - love the use of ribbon! and the layers that make up the flowers! and the embossed background! Gor-GEE-ous! But, my Secret Sis was worried it didn't look good - say what?!?!?
The only thing wrong with this is that I scanned it crooked!
I love it, love it, LOVE IT! Thanks, Sista!

Secret Sister Swap

This is so much fun! I received this beautiful card and all of these lovely ribbons last week from my Secret Sister! She's such a sweetie! I can't wait until next month to discover her identity!

All my loot, modeled handsomely by my bunny buddy, Winston.

A close up of the card.

And she even included some images - one of the Bella's (I don't have any yet), whose real name is Cosmobella, but I prefer to call her Drinkabella - LOL!

And this very cute and appropriate verse!

How lucky I am to have such a super Secret Sis!
