Truckin' to the End of Summer

Hello and Welcome to the August Fresh Brewed Designs Three Day Blog Hop!
If you are getting here from Sarah's blog then you are the right road.

If you are just finding your way to our fun filled, extra caffeinated blog hop, then please start at the beginning here: Freshly Brewed Challenges.

The Fresh Brewed Designs Team and Guests have put together another HOT blog hop for you that starts TODAY and lasts ALL THIS WEEKEND featuring handmade cards inspired by our new released Rubber Stamps. You may remember that these, just as a few others in our rubber collection, once started as digis. We were literally begged to put them into rubber.... so after a year of their hibernating, here they are! Back and better than ever - ready to be created with and to make you smile.

I don't know about you, but regardless of the weather, I need my java juice to keep me fueled and going! So whether its hot or iced, in milkshake or ice cream form, I'll take it...to go! Enter: Coffee Truck, the stamp I worked with to make this little book - a java jotter if you will to record my coffee adventures! Now before you begin to imagine me trotting the globe for an ultimate international taste test, my real idea for this is to try new cofffee flavors and record my observations on the taste, richness, smoothness, aroma, etc. Still fun, without the shots and customs inspections ;)

I made this with some thick kraft cardstock as a cover, some thin cardstock for the inner pages (and later to be photographed), a few PP cardscraps, letter stickers and a doily. I misted the front cover with Mr. Huey in Dark Calico and Pony, and then layered all my elements.

I used pop dots on the stamped mage and little flower cut-outs, but otherwise kept it flat for easy transport. I can't wait to get started tasting & critiqueing! Yum!
Properly caffeinated, one of my fave things to do is find a good deal, and we have one for you today!
For the duration of the hop, you can get these 2 stamps and a fun set of eight 4x6 American Craft double sided papers (cut by Heather) for just $11! Wow! (A photo can be seen at the first hop stop). Drop on by the shop to snag yours before it is too late!!!

Thank you so much for stopping by! You can continue on your java journey by heading over to Celeste's blog.

And just in case you get lost along the way, here's a complete list of all the participating blogs in today's hop - be sure to hit every pit stop! You really don't want to miss out!!!

July is Jumpin' with Java-liciousness

Welcome to the July Fresh Brewed Designs Three Day HOT Blog Hop! If you are getting here from Yolanda's blog then you are right on track. If you are just finding your way to our super HOT, fun filled, extra caffeinated, and mega sassy blog hop, then please start at the beginning here: Freshly Brewed Challenges.

The Fresh Brewed Designs Team and Guests have put together an exciting and oh so HOT blog hop TODAY and ALL THIS WEEKEND featuring handmade cards inspired by our new released Rubber Stamps. Now you may be thinking, I have seen these before. Why, yes! Yes you have!!! But not like this!!! They have all been carefully re-sized. They are approximately 1/2 inch smaller than the original stamp, but just as sassy and hot as ever! For you, this means that more of your card will be visible so you can add your layers, embellies, use your nesties and all of that other fun stuff just a bit easier than before. The larger size is still available and still wonderful ... but now you have the option to choose which size works best for your stamping style!

All re-sized stamps are available cling mounted on 1/8 inch cling foam to use with your acrylic blocks or un-moutned. All of Fresh Brewed Designs stamps are made in the USA with deeply etched red rubber so you get a perfect impression every time! To snag your own, click HERE.

For my card I chose to create with "I'll Take Mine To Go". This rubber stamp is now offered in TWO different sizes (yay!). Since I wanted to focus on her face (and of course, her latte!), I opted for the larger size. It's been awhile since I've done something other than a card, and since I'm all about packaging lately (hello *raising hand* collecting glassine bags, paper bags, twine and washi like a maniac here), I decided to pretty up a small coffee bag.

I can't wait to put this to use! I'm thinking it would be great filled with chocolate covered coffee beans or biscotti. Yum!

Supplies:
FBD "I'll Take Mine To Go" larger size
American Crafts Thickers "Serenade"
Studio Calico "Classic Calico, Vol. 1" 12x12 papers

Now on to the PRIZES!!!
One lucky winner will of the hop will win a $10 gift card to the Fresh Brewed Designs Shop!  Here's a complete list of all the participating blogs in today's hop - be sure to hit every stop! You really don't want to miss out!!! If you're staying on course, you're next stop will be Sheryl. Enjoy!

Welcome to the June Fresh Brewed Designs Three Day Blog Hop!
I am soooo thrilled/excited/honored to be a Guest for this hop! Thanks, Heather - I ♥ ya!
If you are getting here from Kenzie's blog then you are right on track. If you are just finding your way to our fun filled, extra caffeinated, and mega inspiring blog hop, then please start at the beginning here: Freshly Brewed Challenges.

The Fresh Brewed Designs Team and Guests have put together an exciting blog hop TODAY and ALL THIS WEEKEND featuring handmade cards inspired by our new released Rubber Stamps: Hello Girlfriend and You+Me=BFF.

For my card I chose to create with You+Me=BFF.  I totally fell in love with this image when I saw it. It's so sweet, and I loved that they are wearing modest and feminine dresses, so I can totally use this for cards to my church friends (our conviction is based in Deuteronomy 22:5 and 1Timothy 2:9). Score! :)

But this one is just for my TOC-BFF Heather.  She is an amazing lady, and a blessing to me.  We can (and have) talked about anything and everything, and often crack each other up. But what I value most in Heather is that our friendship isn't based on stamps and wit, though that is what the Lord used to help knit our hearts. It's based on our faith in and love for Jesus Christ, our Lord and Saviour.  And I'm sending her this card to let her know how much I appreciate our special fellowship...along with some words of encouragement ;)  We'll see if she can guess what I'm hinting at :)

I had a lot of fun paper piecing the dresses, and then just did some quick & simple Copic coloring on the rest.  Since Heather and I live several states apart, I used a strip of colorful map pattern paper, and layered it with some washi tape. I can hardly believe it's mid-June already, but I embraced the season with a soft, summery color palette.
Now, I know you at this point in the hop, you are eager to get your hands on these fab new stamps!  For this hop weekend only you have the chance to purchase both stamps at an extra special deal!  You can get both stamps for $10!!! Such a deal!

I have to tell you that when I went to ink mine up, I was amazed again at how thick and lovely the rubber is on FBD stamps!  Very deeply etched and the images are super crisp, making this deal even more of a steal!
Here's a complete list of all the participating blogs in today's hop - be sure to hit every stop! You really don't want to miss out!!!

Still Breaking for Spring...with Fresh Brewed Designs

Hello! It is a beautiful spring day here in Ohio, and I hope where you are as well. I will be back in a couple days with another installment of my "Going Grey..." series, but today the card I have to share is all about pretty pastels, which just screams spring (either that or ice cream) to me. I made this for a friend from church, whose birthday was yesterday (hanging head in shame), using this super cute, slightly mod Wonky Dot Cake from Fresh Brewed Designs. This is my 2nd entry for this month's Fresh Brewed Challenge #90 "Tie It Up". I colored the image with Copics and everything else is from my stash, including the "matches so perfectly it just about made my day" yummy satin ribbon.

I hope you'll join the lovely ladies at Fresh Brewed Designs for this challenge, and be sure to enter Heather's Birthday Blog Candy!

Have a wonderful weekend, and I pray you'll take the time to worship our Lord this Sunday. God bless you!

Happy B-Day & Just In Time

Wow! It seems like forever since I've posted a card. :(

Well, it's the end of the 1st month of the year. :o And I'm make very little progress with my crafty resolutions of making a stockpile of cards, and organizing my craft-tastrophe. *sigh* However, I am super pleased that I got this card to a special little birthday girl (from my church) right on time! Yay! (Gotta give myself some small semblance of encouragement, eh?)

I'm using a new-to-me Fresh Brewed Designs digi called "Dotty Cupcake" and new washi tape to enter the FBD January Monthly Challenge. I plan to make several versions of this card to have on hand for those "Is it your birthday already?!?" occassions. :) I colored the cupcake image with Copics, trimmed it out, and clear embossed the dots for that shiny hard candy shell look, and then used Rock Candy Stickles on the frosting for a sugary effect.

And, since I managed to do a challenge, and it is still the 1st month, I'm adding to my 2012 crafty resolutions (which, I decided just now to name "Craft-o-lutions") that I will play at least one challenge each month. That should help with keeping the other Craft-o-lutions, I think. ;)

Thanks for visiting & have a blessed day! ((hugs))

Save the Hooters: A Fresh Brewed Designs Hop for Breast Cancer Awareness

Good Morning!!! and thank you for joining in on the Fresh Brewed Designs Save The Hooters blog hop. I'm so honored to be part of this special event! (((hugs 4 Heather!))) If you are getting here from Sheryl's blog then you are right on track. If not, please start off at the beautiful and talented Linda's blog.

We are so happy that you are joining us today as we spread smiles, share beautiful projects and most of all raise awareness.

The word "Cancer" is one that makes us all cringe and sometimes turn away. That does not make it GO AWAY it just means we try to avoid talking about it and pretending it is not there.
It is there and it is a reality. I know most of us have had family or friends who have been diagnosed with a form of cancer or know someone who has died of cancer related causes.

One of those cancers is Breast Cancer. In the year 2011 in the United States alone approximately 230,480 new cases of invasive breast cancer in women have been reported, approximately 57,650 new cases of carcinoma in situ (CIS) will be found (CIS is non-invasive and is the earliest form of breast cancer), and approximately 39,520 women will die from breast cancer.

Fresh Brewed Designs has created a brand new rubber stamp set as well as several digital stamps. When you purchase these designated products, a partion of your purchase will be donated to Chemo Angels.

If you have not heard about Chemo Angels we suggest you look them up. They are a wonderful organization. They support all forms of cancer as well as have ways to donate in the form of time, cards, as well as monetary donations. To find out more about how Fresh Brewed Designs will be taking part, read here.

For this hop I chose to use stamps from the "Save the Hooters" rubber set. I combined it with my go-to pink collection - Echo Park's Be Mine 12x12.

Fresh Brewed Designs is also sponsoring the Link Up For Pink.
This linking party will be held from October 1 - 14. Every project linked will be pink themed and there will be lots of opportunities for prizes. Grab the badge and be sure to save the date!

If you purchase the featured BCA stamp set or any of the BCA digital stamps, be sure to be watching for a special link in the tabs under the blog header at Freshly Brewed Challenges. There will be a special link up challenge just for you starting October 1st. We will allow back linking as long as you are using these images.

Your next stop on the hop will be Heather's blog.

Thank you again for hopping with is and helping spread the word.
Have a very blessed and beautiful day.

¡Hola!

I almost can't believe how long it's been since I posted a card. (And yes, my very belated International Inkers card is still to come.) What can I say, life is blessedly busy. When the time is available and inspiration comes, I craft. When it isn't, I don't. It's a simple and blissful approach that I am embracing. Lately I'm all about removing the stress from crafting, and reviving the joy.

I made a boxed set of these cards and donated them to my sister's philanthropic group for their Mexican-themed gift basket that will be raffled off later this month at a scholarship fundraiser.

I used the adorable "Dancing Peppers" digi image from Fresh Brewed Designs and papers from Cosmo Cricket's "Garden Variety" 6x6 paper pad. I also broke in my new Sizzix Big Shot making the die cuts. I was intimidated by the idea of learning a new die cut machine. But that was just silly, because I totally love my Big Shot now! Yay! (Or should I say, "¡Olé!")

Thanks for stopping by. I'll be back tomorrow with another creation. Have a blessed day. ((hugs))

Fresh Brewed Fun!

What are little girls made of? Sugar and spice
And everything nice, That's what little girls are made of.

I think even as we grow, we ladies are still made of sugar and spice and everything nice, don’t you? Today we have lots of girly fun to share with you, and I am soooooo super honored to be part of sharing it with you!

Fresh Brewed Designs has released (today) 7 brand new rubber stamps that are perfect for girls of all ages! My TOC-BFF, the fabulous Heather has designed 3 coffee gals to add to the already sassy series. These latte lovin’ ladies have an extra sprinkle of sweetness. Each stamp has a little cherry topped cupcake added to it. We are also excited to introduce to you today Cutie Pie!!! She is a cute little butterfly fairy with a love for adventure and loves to spread smiles wherever she goes. If you are just getting to the hop, you will have to start at the beginning at the Freshly Brewed Challenges Blog. If you are getting here from Jeanette's Blog you are on the right track.

For my card today, I couldn't resist using the new Espresso Mail stamp and this coffee talk pattern paper by Flair Designs.

I used almost all of my E-series Copics to color the image in a coffee color scheme, and combined it with some yummy chocolate hued pleated satin ribbon by May Arts, the Tim Holtz Swirls embossing folder, and an old burlap weave background stamp. This image reminds me of a no-nonsense working gal, and so I couldn't resist having a little fun with this sentiment on the inside:

Now, on with the prizes! Here is what you could win just by hopping!!!

Here are the RULES for your chance to win the prize:
  • You will have to complete the hop in full and leave a comment on each hop stop.
  • The hop will start AND end on the challenge blog.
  • After you finish the hop, leave ANOTHER comment on the challenge blog post and let us know what your favorite image was from the hop.

To be able to decide which is your favorite, though, you will have to keep hopping! Your next hop stop is Kelly's Blog.

Here's the entire hop order, in case you get lost or run into a glitch:

CHAPTER 4: Picturing Wonderland

"Thus grew the tale of Wonderland: Thus slowly, one by one,Its quaint events were hammered out -And now the tale is done, And home we steer, a merry crew, Beneath the setting sun. Alice! a childish story take, And with gentle hand lay it were Childhood's dreams are twined. In Memory's mystic band, Like pilgrim's wither'd wreath of flowers Pluck'd in a far-off land..."

We have another Sketch Challenge today, this time brought to us by our very own Pam Varnell! Pam created this sketch JUST for the Oh, Alice! blog and it is soooooo Wonderland, don't you think? Here's the sketch:
My interpretation is a bit of a departure, but I had my fabulous friend Heather's amazing Mirror of Mushrooms image in mind from the start, so I used the image itself as its own frame, cutting and popping each layer. This is just one of Heather's fabulous Wonderland inspired images. You can see the whole collection at her store, Fresh Brewed Designs.

We'd LOVE for you to plunge Down the Rabbit hole with us again this week! All you have to do is upload your creation and link it using Mr. Linky on the Oh, Alice Blog! The keyword this week for public galleries is OAC4.
There's no time limit for this week's sketch, so take your time here in Wonderland and ENJOY! See you next Saturday, everyone!

Hugs,

Fresh Brewed Designs: Introducing Tommy!

Last month, Heather's FRESH BREWED DESIGNS premiered the ever so adorable Hannah Belle series, and today we are hopping (up and down with excitement) for more Hannah Belle images *and* the launch of Tommy! (And as you'll see, I literally mean LAUNCH!) We're mixing things up a bit, and the hop will run for TODAY only, and we're playing a fun word game. At each stop, not only will you see an adorable new FBD creation, but you'll also find a WORD. Be sure to visit all of the blogs to collect all the words. When you finish the hop at Heather's blog, just email her with the words and you'll be entered into the drawing. Oh, so FUN and oh, so EASY! If this is your first stop, grab some coffee and start at the beginning with Callie. If you arrived from Rhonda's blog, you're "sipping" right along. :D

For my card today, I chose the super cute, super fun "Tommy In Space" image to work with, and Inspirational Sketch Challenge #55.

I absolutely love all the possibilities with this image. Tommy and his rocket ship come with a fab collection of planets and stars that you can leave as one scene, or you can cut out select parts like I did. I couldn't resist his little alien friend! Too cute!

You're next stop is Jenn's blog and I know she has something totally sweet for you to enjoy with your coffee. ;)

But before you go, jot down this word: TAILS

Happy Hopping Hugs,

Fresh Brewed Designs - Hannah Belles Release Hop!

Hi friends! So sorry for not getting this up sooner (feeling very unwell last night and this morning), because I am sooooo excited about the adorable new Hannah Belle's the lovely and talented Heather is releasing today at Fresh Brewed Designs! These images were inspired by Heather's daughter, and are just so cute! If you are arriving here from Sheri's blog, you are on the right track. If this is your first stop, please start at the beginning with Rhonda.

For my first card, I chose to work with "Hannah Belle Ice Cream" because she is just yummy with a spoon! :D When I gave her a good look, I instantly thought of this PP from Basic Grey's Sultry collection, and selected my Copic colors to match. I printed the sentiment using a font from 1001 Free Fonts, and altered the SU! Designer Label punch to fit the layout and look more like an old-fashioned ice cream store sign. A small sugary white brad, sheer pink polka ribbon, a flower & button stack, and some Diamond Glaze finish it off.

Thanks for hopping by today! You're next stop is the sweet & lovely Stacy. Enjoy the rest of the Hannah Belle eye candy! You won't want to miss a stop because each blog will have a winner, in addition to the Grand Prize Winner who will receive her choice of 3 free FBD images! There will also be a Runner-Up prize of 2 free FBD images. And as if all that weren't enough (Heather is exceedingly generous!), a sure fire way to receive a free FBD image is to use this sketch and link your creation to Heather's Blog. I'll be back tomorrow with another new Hannah Belle creation.
Hugs & Mugs (of Fresh Brewed),

Hopping For Fresh Brewed Designs

If this is your first stop, please jump over to Carolyn's blog to start at the beginning.

I am soooooooooooooo stoked to be part of the Fresh Brewed Designs new release hop! Heather is just the sweetest and funniest gal, and I've had such a great time getting to know her through the Busy Beauties DT. Her images are so cute, fun & easy to work with and I was super thrilled to get my markers on 'em. Especially this one, Coffee Talk, because coffee has been my salvation lately between work, a professional exam (which, PTL I passed Monday), and the mere thought of the holidays. I know lots of you are in the same boat, and I thought this card would be perfect with a Starbucks gift card tucked inside.

I wrote & generated the sentiment on the computer - I couldn't resist because my first thought when I saw this was how well-endowed our latte lovely is! LOL! The paper was an easy choice because after so much caffeine, she is definitely bright and vibrant (and if you've got the coffee jitters, the pattern kind of buzzes - LOL)! The silver-tone coffee mug brad was a gifty from last year's Secret Santa and the light brown brads were part of a hostess gifty earlier this year. This card was truly a pleasure to work on and came together effortlessly, thanks to Heather's awesome image! (I just wish the color on her blouse wasn't reading so red - IRL it's a dark pink. I guess that's what I get for snapping pics on the cell phone.)

I hope you'll continue to hop and visit my gal Kadie next! Don't forget to leave comments along the way to be eligible for some fabby free images! The hop is open Wednesday and Thursday, so send all your friends! :D

TFL! I'm off to get my java jolt!
