Hi all!
Sorry for the long stretch with no posts! I think/hope you'll forgive me when you see part of the reason. This little guy has just stolen my heart! I'm pleased as punch to introduce you to Cyrus:
(Sorry for the grainy/blurry picture.)He's just over a year old (according to our vet's best estimate) and was rescued from the other end of the state. My mom just happened to visit the local pet boutique to pick up some treats for Charlie, and there was Cyrus. If she hadn't taken him home on the spot, he would have been put down. He is just the sweetest thing ever, such a lovey, and so well mannered.
It's truly heartbreaking to think how many Cyruses have been abandoned by their owners and are left to fend for themselves in the wild, or sit isolated, scared and alone in shelters and dog pounds. Please, if you are thinking of adding a four-legged fur baby to your family, please go to your local shelters first! There are hundreds of loving, well-behaved dogs waiting for you! And if you have dogs (or cats), please spay and neuter them!

What a beautiful dog. So wonderful to hear that you saved him. Our economy is in such a bad state that we propbably will be seeing more and more pets go to shelters because families can't feed themselves let alone a pet. I have learned that you can also donate pet food to local food pantires and it will be distributed to people who have pets. Congratulations on your new addition to your family.

Oh Chica he is adorable! Such beautiful coloring, and I love that his tail is blurry - proof of a happy, wagging one! It warms my heart to know that your family is able to give him a warm and loving home. I can't wait to see pics of Charlie with his new pal! {{HUGS}}

Soooo miraculous for your Mom to be in that place on that particular day at that particular time!~I truly believe that Cyrus life was already planned from the Master!
